visit.brussels promotes the Brussels-Capital Region, including the City of Brussels, the 19 communes of the Brussels-Capital Region, the communities and the community commissions. The website of visit.brussels has comprehensive information for everyone planning to visit the capital:
- tourist information covering museums, attractions, restaurants, shopping and nightlife;
- duides, walks and maps for Brussels and its main attractions;
- a search engine to help you book accommodation in Brussels;
- an events calendar and special pages dedicated to events;
- information for specific groups (young people, those with reduced mobility, the LGBT scene, families with children);
- the Brussels Card offering reduced admission to museums and public transport;
- booking of visits with an official guide.
visit.brussels runs three tourist information centres for the general public (Brussels Info Place, Grand-Place and Brussels-Midi station) and one for EU staff (European Parliament).
visit.brussels large events office also organises such events as Bruxelles-les-Bains, Plaisirs d'Hiver, Fête de l'Iris and the Brussels Summer Festival.
Brussels for organisers
visit.brussels is tasked with promoting the Brussels-Capital Region as a host city for conferences and events. MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, events) organisers are welcome to use the services of visit.brussels:
- assistance finding an event venue and accommodation options;
- tourist activities and information for events in the Brussels-Capital Region;
- presentation and promotion of events, shows and fairs in the Brussels-Capital Region;
- assistance to the travel agents for group visits to Brussels;
- contacts with the press and presence at events, shows and fairs to promote Brussels;
- promotional activities to encourage businesses to meet or do business in Brussels or to shoot their films in Brussels;
- market research and participation in the Brussels Observatoire du Tourisme.

Legal basisvisit.brussels was the result of a merger of two NPOs in early 2001: TIB (Tourisme Information Bruxelles) and Bruxelles Congrès. The BITC is managed by the Brussels-Capital Region, the French and Flemish Communities and the communes of the Brussels-Capital Region, which together are the competent authorities for Brussels tourism policy. |
