The Brussels Region in orthophotos!

The 2023 orthophotos are now availableOpens in new windowExternal link. These coloured, aerial photos of the Brussels Region are invaluable for monitoring: 

• the evolution of the Region's physical structures (construction/destruction of buildings);
• the evolution of the public space (new streets, new neighbourhoods, urban development, etc.);
• the evolution of vegetation (density, extent or state of health of vegetation).

The 2023 orthophotos also include infrared photographs. This allows us to collect information about the quality of vegetation (plants emit infrared rays in the course of their photosynthetic activities).

Published by Paradigm for many years, the orthophotos of the Brussels Region are an invaluable mine of information, and as such, are eagerly awaited by many entities: Brussels administrations, private partners, research and educational institutions working on subjects such as land use planning, energy policy, the fight against global warming or supporting biodiversity, among other topics.
