Supported by our internal Data Office, this biannual event brings the community together and stimulates discussion through presentations and talks focused on data, in a warm and welcoming setting conducive to exchange and conviviality.

For this latest edition, around thirty participants attended!

After an introductory speech by our colleague Adeline Grard, several external speakers took the floor. Here are the main points to remember:

Florence Haxel (Datalogy) & Amélie Hervé (Mayenne Department): “Data governance, culture, and public management: how to create buy-in beyond rhetoric?”

In Mayenne, data governance was introduced gradually and pragmatically, before being rolled out across the department at different levels. Amélie is leading this impressive deployment with great insight, seizing opportunities and supporting willing participants.

Valérie Zapico (Valkuren): “Govern before innovating: how to anchor data/AI governance in the reality of public service

Governing without a strategy remains vague, intangible, and abstract.

Developing a strategy without planning the steps, processes, and implementation timeframe yields no concrete results in the field.

Alignment between top-down and bottom-up approaches is essential for insightful, efficient, and useful governance.

Alexis Misselyn (STIB): “Data science use cases: predictive maintenance and energy forecasting at STIB

The predictive models studied by Alexis make it possible to forecast energy consumption and the best deadlines for machining STIB trams. These analyses provide valuable information to decision-makers, who can make informed choices about spending, but also better manage the work of teams and negotiate supplier budgets.

Aymeric Robinne (MC2I): “From Data to Value: When Governance Meets Data Product Management

Data product management provides an overview of product developments, allowing priorities to be set based on the value each product brings to the company.

The event concluded with a networking session.
