Information over planning and environmental permits available for the Brussels citizen

The openpermits.brussels platform, which was launched at the beginning of the year by urban.brussels in collaboration with the BRIC and Brussels Environment, now makes information on planning and environmental permit applications in the Brussels-Capital Region available to everyone.

The platform already contains all applications from the Nova platform (submitted via Brussels Environment, urban.brussels or via a Brussels municipality), whether they have been requested, granted, refused or cancelled, equalling more than 700.000 records.

In your search for information, multiple tools are at your disposal:  an interactive map of the Region with spatial geolocation, developed using the BRIC's UrbIS Open Data; a search engine; tables detailing current public enquiries, the most recent decisions notified and the most recent applications submitted. In addition, the permits submitted to a public enquiry are available along with the plans which can be consulted online, and all this while the inquiry is taking place!
A great practical achievement benefiting both citizens and businesses, thanks to the Open Data of the Brussels-Capital Region!
