Call for Projects South 2026

Are you a recognized Belgian civil society organization or a non-profit organization and do you want to launch a sustainable and inclusive economic development project in a developing country?

Brussels International and hub.brussels launch their call for proposals South 2026.

Context

The Brussels-Capital Region (BCR) wants to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations and more specifically to the global eradication of poverty through sustainable and inclusive economic development.

Goal

This Call for Projects was created to support sustainable and inclusive economic development projects in developing countries.

The projects must be implemented:

  • in an urban or semi-urban context.
  • in one of the BCR’s three partner regions (see rules - French / Dutch): City-Province of Kinshasa (DRC), the Region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (Morocco) and the Occupied Palestinian Territory (West Bank and East Jerusalem – the Gaza strip excluded).

Who is eligible?

The Call for Projects is open to recognised civil society organisations as well as other Belgian non-profit organisations (ASBL/VZW). In the latter case, this includes organisations actively engaged in the field of international solidarity as well as associations focusing on economic development.

Which support?

With this Call for Projects, the Brussels-Capital Region wishes to provide support to a maximum number of projects in the range of €10.000 to €125.000 (see rules for more details - French / Dutch).

Information session

An online information session will be held on Wednesday 15 July 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00.

This session will include a presentation of the call for projects, followed by a Q&A segment with participants.
To make the most of the session, participants are strongly encouraged to review the guidelines in advance in order to prepare specific and relevant questions.
