Academies and extracurricular education

Many academies run art and music courses in the Brussels-Capital Region. The sociocultural sector runs extracurricular courses for people of all ages.
You can widen your knowledge and skills outside of traditional education too. The Brussels-Capital Region is home to many art and music academies where you can follow a course. The sociocultural sector also runs a large number of extracurricular courses for people of all ages.

Academies

Virtually every Brussels commune has its own art or music academy (part-time art education). They offer a host of courses in every artistic discipline as well as music, word and dance, for children, teenagers and adults. Depending on where they get their funding, the working language of these academies is either French or Dutch.
