Pollution highs

During the Belgian winter, air pollution regularly reaches levels that can be harmful to your health. They are primarily due to the accumulation of pollutants from vehicle exhaust gases and, to a lesser degree, home and office heating systems, and industrial processes. As a result, air quality deteriorates to such an extent that it poses a risk to people’s health.
With that in mind, special measures need to be taken to minimise the harmful effects of pollution highs on the environment and public health.
