Free Market

Free market every fourth Saturday of each month, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, in the small Quai à la Houille park.
Come along with things you no longer need, or with nothing, and leave with things you will find useful.

On different sites, specialists help you repair your stuff for free. Everything from faulty toasters and rickety chairs legs to broken dolls and loose hems.

Brussels fire station

External linkSIAMU, the Brussels-Capital Region's firefighting and emergency medical assistance service, offers guided tours of the main fire station and some local stations.

90-minutes tours are available for groups of between 10 and 25 people. Advance booking is required. In French and Dutch.

Drinking water fountains and free public conveniences

The association "Infirmiers de rue" (Street Nurses) works with people who live on the streets or in a very vulnerable situation. One of the tools created by "Infirmiers de rue" is a map indicating drinking water fountains and free public conveniences.
Although this tool is intended primarily for the homeless, it may prove useful to each one of us.

Public astronomy course

A free public astronomy course is given every year, from October to March, on Wednesdays, from 18.00hrs to 19.00hrs at the University of Brussels.
The course consists of 4 modules of 5 lessons. The level is that of higher secondary education.
The entrance is entirely free, no enrolment is required beforehand.
