The website of the Belgian notary profession is a rich source of information on formalities to be completed in the event of a death (FR/NL) including the last will of the deceased, banking matters, organ donation, donating a body to science and arranging the funeral.

You can ask for a death certificate to the commune where the death occurred or to the commune of the official address of the deceased via IRISbox, the online service desk of the administrations of the Brussels-Capital Region.
