Tax clearance certificate for a Gaming Commission licence

Do you wish to apply for a licence from the Gaming Commission to organise games of chance or betting in the Brussels-Capital Region? One of the requirements is to submit a certificate from Brussels Fiscality confirming that all certain and undisputed tax debts to the Region have been paid.


What is this certificate about?

Since 25 May 2019, anyone wishing to apply for a licence from the Gaming Commission must also obtain a certificate from the regional tax administration, namely Brussels Fiscality for the Brussels-Capital Region. Previously, only a certificate from the Federal Public Service Finance was required.

Brussels Fiscality's certificate must confirm that the applicant has paid all certain and undisputed tax debts owed to the Brussels-Capital Region.

How can you apply?

You have two options:

  • By email:
    • for requests in French, to info.attestation@fisc.brusselswith the subject line “Demande avis fiscal”
    • for requests in Dutch, to info.attest@fisc.brusselswith the subject line “Aanvraag fiscaal advies”
      Please note that all applications must be submitted either in French or Dutch.
  • By post to the following address:
    Brussels Fiscality
    For the attention of the “direction de la gestion financière” (in French) or “directie Financieel Beheer” (in Dutch)
