Steps to request a conformity check attestation

Applying for the certificate

When a property has been banned from rental following an inspection by the Regional Housing Inspectorate of Brussels Housing, the landlord must apply for a conformity check attestation before re-renting the property or risk incurring an administrative fine. 

The owner must submit this application once all the required work mandated by the Regional Housing Inspectorate has been completed. The inspectors will then schedule a date for an inspection visit to ensure that the property meets the required quality standards

Important !

  • This conformity check attestation only applies to properties located in the Brussels-Capital Region
  • The application fee for this certificate is €50. Payment details will be provided by Brussels Housing after the application form has been completed and submitted. The inspectors will contact you to arrange a date once payment has been received by Brussels Housing.
