Ecological labels
These labels are official recognition of good eco management at businesses and the progress they make in terms of waste management, energy consumption, mobility or rational use of raw materials. They also help structure, plan and measure these efforts. There are three official recognition systems for Brussels businesses and organisations:
- the award of the 'Entreprise Ecodynamique' label
The award of the Opens in new window'Entreprise Ecodynamique' label (FR/NL) is official recognition of good governance practices in the Brussels-Capital Region. - the ISO 14001 label
Opens in new windowISO 14000 labels - among which the ISO 14001 label - are awarded by the International Organization for Standardization, essentially relate to aspects of environmental management. - The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is an environmental management evaluation tool for businesses and organisations. Applications for the 'Entreprise Ecodynamique' label should be sent to Bruxelles Environnement. More information over the Opens in new window'Entreprise Ecodynamique' label (FR/NL) is available on the the Bruxelles Environnement website. This is a free label available to all private and public sector organisations in the Brussels-Capital Region. It is awarded for a three-year term.
