Schools

What with parents, children and teachers, schools are responsible for a lot of traffic. The vicinity of a school is often a high-traffic area. With this in mind, it’s important to coordinate this mobility and make the approaches to schools safer. The Region takes responsibility for this, giving the requisite resources to schools to ensure this gets done.

All nurseries, primary and secondary schools on the territory of the Brussels-Capital Region – whatever the network – are invited to draw up their own school transport plan. To do so, they can rely on the support of Bruxelles Mobilité.

This plan has two goals. The first is obviously improving safety on the way to and around the school. The second is increasing the independence of the children.

You can find on the website Bruxelles Mobilité all the contact persons and information you need to draw up your school transport plan (FR/NL).
