Bike trips

Brussels has invested a lot of time and effort in recent years to improve its network of bike paths. Discover biking in Brussels.

No bike of your own? Not a problem!

  • You can hire a bike from the Opens in new windowBike Points  at Brussels-Nord, Brussels-Central, Brussels-Midi and Brussels-Luxembourg.
  • For short journeys, you can take a Opens in new windowVillo! Bike from one of the Villo! docking stations. When you’re done, leave it at any other Villo! docking station in Brussels.

Where to go

  • Bruxelles Mobilité has put together an interactive map showing bike routes throughout Brussels (FR/NL). It also includes a list of bike shops and Villo! docking stations.
  • Bruxelles Environnement has mapped out a Opens in new windowGreen Route (FR/NL) through the outer suburbs of Brussels, allowing you to experience the Brussels countryside (FR/NL) on foot or by bike.
  • Pro Velo organizes every weekend from April to October Opens in new windowguided bike tours. You needn’t be a sportsman/woman to participate: it’s family entertainment.
  • You can also explore the Bois de la Cambre in the south of Brussels by bike. Much of the park is closed to motorised vehicles at weekends.
