Affordable housing options: find homes at reduced prices

There are a number of ways to purchase more affordable housing in the Brussels-Capital Region.

Buy through citydev.brussels

Opens in new windowcitydev.brussels builds and sells new, affordable housing in neighbourhoods with a shortage of residential buildings. This enables middle-income households to buy affordable housing in Brussels and helps Citydev to attract or retain residents in the Region. 

These housing projects are developed through a public -private partnership.

Buy through the Housing Fund

The Opens in new windowBrussels-Capital Region Housing Fund builds and renovates housing, which it then sells at affordable prices. This includes traditional apartments, duplexes, lofts and even single-family homes. 

The sale of Housing Fund properties is subject to Opens in new windowspecific conditions related to the buyer's property assets, the potential resale of the acquired property and the Fund's rights of redemption and pre-emption. Additionally, to be eligible to purchase a property from the Fund, you must meet the terms and conditions for its mortgage loans. 

Become a property with CLTB

Opens in new windowCommunity Land Trust Brussels (CLTB) develops perpetually affordable housing projects in Brussels for low-income individuals, on collectively-owned land.  

CLTB uses the Opens in new windowinnovative CLT model where the land remains the property of the community, and only the homes are sold. These homes are affordable because the owners do not pay for the land. Resale is possible, but at a capped price, ensuring that the housing remains affordable for future generations.
