Disputes and market issues

What to if problems arise after purchase?

After purchasing a property, unexpected issues can sometimes arise, leading to conflicts between the buyer and the seller. How do you deal such problems after buying or selling a property

  1. Ask your notary for advice. The notary's role is not only to formalise the purchase of a property, but also to provide information and advice. Do not hesitate to contact them for guidance on the necessary steps or to initiate a mediation process. Be aware that a notary's services may not be free, so it's important to ask about the costs upfront.
  2. To avoid lengthy and costly legal proceedings, you can opt for voluntary mediation. This allows the parties to find a solution on their own. The mediator's role is to reconcile points of view, facilitate dialogue and structure the conversation.
  3. If mediation fails, legal action may become necessary. Opens in new windowLegal aid offices are available to advise you at the start of your process. They offer legal consultations at the beginning of any procedure.
