Weapons and dual-use goods
Since 1 September 2003, the regions are competent in matters relating to the import, export and transit of arms and dual-use items.
The former competences of the Federal Public Service Economy regarding the import, export and transit of arms, ammunition and goods specially designed for military use or law enforcement and the related technologies as well as goods and technologies for dual use have been taken over by the Licence Cell.
Given the sensitive nature of the goods and technologies involved, it is important to follow the procedures in order to obtain the required prior authorisations.
