Financial incentives

Businesses in the Brussels-Capital Region can benefit from certain forms of assistance and other incentives to set up in the Region or invest in property.

For a run-down of all incentives, see Opens in new windowinfo.hub.brussels, which is run by the Brussels-Capital Region, or External linkwerk-economie-emploi.brussels.

Investment subsidies

Some property investments – to buy, convert or renovate – may be eligible for assistance, in the form of a tax break, accelerated amortisation or exemption from property tax. For more information over business investment subsidies see External linkwerk-economie-emploi.brussels and Opens in new windowinfo.hub.brussels (FR/NL).

Relocation assistance

If your business relocates within the Brussels-Capital Region, especially for environmental reasons, you may be eligible for assistance.

The communes of Anderlecht and Ixelles help young self-employed people and businesses setting up in the Region for the first time.

Subsidy for shopkeepers in Anderlecht

The commune of Anderlecht awards a subsidy to shopkeepers who smarten up their display window or create a separate access for upper storeys.
