The lockdown measures adopted since 16 March to combat the coronavirus are gradually being lifted in our country.
However, certain measures are still in place to limit the spread of the virus. Compliance with these measures will help you to avoid falling ill and/or contaminating others.

Online administratives processes

The offices of the public administrations are once again accessible, subject to certain arrangements, such as making an appointment.

You can also complete almost all your administrative processes online, at home, using your computer.

Covid-19 Grants

The Brussels-Capital Region supports companies which have had to temporarily close their doors and which are active in certain sectors of activity with special grants.

The Brussels-Capital Region also supports low-income tenants who suffer a loss of income with a single grant of € 214.68 per household.
A specific letter will be sent to the alleged beneficiaries so that they can have the necessary information to submit their request.

Solidarity

Do you need help with your daily tasks or do you want to offer your help? There are several platforms that match offers with requests.

  • Reconnecting communicties through solidarity with website Helpify, Solidair.brussels, Hoplr.
  • The app and the website ListMinut (FR) is available free of charge.

Do you need psychological help?

 

Recent weeks have not been easy. Please do not hesitate to contact the services offering psychological assistance.

  • If you are having suicidal thoughts, please call the Suicide Prevention Centre on 0800 32 123 (FR), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • If you are suffering from parental burnout, call SOS Parents on 0471 414 333 (FR), 7 days a week, 8.00am to 8.00pm.

  • Telephone helpline for mental health services:  025 01 01 27 / 28 / 29 (Monday to Friday 6.00pm to 10.00pm and Saturday and Sunday 9.00am to 5.00pm)

Mobility

If you need tu use public transport, you must comply with the specific rules implemented by the various transport company (wearing of masks, mandatory one-way sustems, different timetables, etc.).

Sharing services for bikes, sccoters and mopeds are also operational. Remember! Wash your hands thoroughly before and after user!

Fines related to LEZ (Low Emission Zones) are temporarily suspended. THey will be reinstated from 1 July. 

Shops

Shops, bars and restaurants are open once again. However, you must comply with their instructions: hand gel, possible wearing of masks, mandatory one-way systems, limited time in which to do your shopping, etc.

Open air markets are permitted with a maximum 50 stalls.

You can visit your hairdresser or beauty salon: by appointment only and it is mandatory to wear a mask.

Start-up

The StartupVie platform lists all the Belgian start-ups offering free and practical solutions to help families, freelancers and the largest companies, hospitals and even schools to overcome Covid-19.

You will also find mutual assistance platforms, online lessons for children, e-retailers, platforms for helping restaurants, etc.
