Scholarships and study grants
Can you get a scholarship or a grant to help fund your studies in the Brussels-Capital Region?
Supporting children and young people in their school career can be a costly business. In some cases, you may be eligible for a scholarship or a grant.
- For French speakers, in some circumstances the French Community’s Service des Allocations d'Etudes (FR) may provide a study grant (financial assistance) for participation in secondary or higher education.
- Dutch speakers should visit the Flemish Community’s education portal for full details of all study grants in the Flemish Community (NL).
- Scholarships are also available through European programmes. The European Commission’s PLOTEUS portal publishes full information on studying and training in the European Union. It has a dedicated section on EU exchange programmes and grants, such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Tempus and others.
