Plan an event? What to do? SIAMU/DBDMH - the fire brigade of the Brussels-Capital Region
annYou want to organize a party, a dance party, a barbecue, or install a marquee on the public way ? Do you need an opinion from the Fire Department (SIAMU/DBDMH) ?

Activities not requiring opinion by the Fire Department :

Permission to hold the event remains the only responsibility of the communal administration

General conditions

A whole series of events, activities or temporary installations do not require an opinion of the Fire Department. However, you must follow some rules to guarantee basic security for the public and also allow emergency services to intervene quickly and effectively. There is your responsibility, and a control by the Fire Department is possible during the event. These general conditions apply in all cases and for all activities of temporary installations.

Specific conditions

For some activities (indicated by an asterisk in the Annex A) which have more risk to the public or specific hazards of fire, special conditions must be respected in addition to general conditions.
You find them in the Annex C - Special conditions depending of the activity.

Some activities may require an opinion by the Fire Department :

Those not included in Annex A (see annexes and forms in French or Dutch).

In this case, you must contact your communal administration. The request with the required informations must be submitted at the Fire Department (SIAMU/DBDMH) by the communal administration using the official form of advice of fire prevention. This request must reach Fire Department minimum 4 weeks before the event or mounting.

It is imperative that this request be with all the documents listed Annex D, including one profile sheet (see annexes and forms in French or Dutch).
