The Direction Etudes et Planification is responsible for monitoring strategic planning.
The Direction Etudes et Planification (DEP) works to find the right balance between the social, environmental and economic goals of the Brussels-Capital Region by planning the Region’s territorial development.
The remit of the Direction Etudes et Planification is threefold:
- Monitoring strategic planning (Plan Régional de Développement (FR/NL), Communal Development Plan and blueprints) and regulatory planning (Plan Régional d'Affectation du Sol (FR/NL) and Private Designated Land Use Plans)
- Managing studies and monitoring centres that evaluate the implementation of these plans
- Assuring communication with the public and representing Bruxelles Développement urbain (ex-AATL) at supra-regional and European authorities
- Running the permanent secretariat of the Commission Régionale de Développement (CRD) (FR/NL)
