Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement of the be.brussels Internet portal

BRIC (Paradigm), undertakes to make this site accessible, in accordance with the following legislation: Ordinance of 4 October 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications for the regional public bodies and municipalities (Brussels Capital Region).

The editors, publishers and developers of the Brussels-Capital Region portal do their utmost to improve and maintain accessibility. Please do not hesitate to report any problems you encounter at the email irisline@paradigm.brussels.

This accessibility declaration applies to:

  • Website: https://be.brussels/en/

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Preparing your declaration

An external accessibility audit was conducted. This audit consisted of a simplified analysis, focusing mainly on sustainable development and responsible digital (green IT) aspects, but with some recommendations affecting accessibility.

Non-accessible content

  1. The size-adjust property does not exist:

This property allows you to adjust the font size according to the height of the letters in the font. This will be corrected as soon as possible.
  2. The "target" attribute is left empty:

The W3C Validator recommends not using the "target" attribute with an empty value, as this can create ambiguities for users with specific accessibility needs. When a hypertext link is opened in the same window or frame as the current page, users may lose the reference to the original page and have difficulty navigating the site.
