Institut Bruxellois de Statistique et d'Analyse

The Institut Bruxellois de Statistique et d'Analyse (IBSA) is the Brussels-Capital Region’s reference centre for statistics and analysis.
The Institut Bruxellois de Statistique et d'Analyse (IBSA) centralises, processes and distributes statistics concerning the Brussels-Capital Region. The BISA also carries out socio-economic studies on Brussels issues and takes part in various projects aiming at improving the statistical and analytical knowledge of the Brussels territory. Thus it supports the government in running and evaluating public policies.

Consult the BISA publications and services:

  • Figures of the Brussels-Capital Region classified by theme (population, economy, labour market, mobility and transport, land-use planning and real estate, health, etc.),
  • Publications, such as:

    - Mini-Bru, an annual pocket-sized publication with the key figures for the Brussels-Capital Region,
    - The Economic Barometer, a biannual publication analysing the main developments in economic activity and the labour market in the Brussels-Capital Region based on the latest economic indicators available,
    - The “Cahiers de l’IBSA”, in which detailed analyses concerning some issue for the Brussels-Capital Region are explained,
    - The “Monitoring des Quartiers”, a website dedicated to local statistics in the form of maps and tables.
